Vacation Bible School 2008
VBS 2008 will kickoff on Sunday, July 13th at 5:00 p.m. Our VBS program will be held through Wednesday, July 16th and will meet each night from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. More information coming soon!
Church-wide Rafting Trip
We are planning a church-wide rafting trip down the Ocoee River in June. The exact date and time has not been set. More information coming soon. If you are interested, please see Bro. Shane.
Student Car Wash
Come out and support our students on Saturday, June 14th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We will be having a car wash and all proceeds earned will go toward our student ministry.
Children & Student Ministry Spring Kickoff
Bro. Shane, Minister to Students and Education says it is time to get on board and kickoff our Spring programs. One addition we will be adding to our children's ministry is a nursery program for ages 4 & under. "We want this program to be state of the art with new technology including video camera's for the nursery workers to watch the services and also to provide an identification system incase a parent is needed" says Bro. Shane. The new identification system would allow visitors and parents to be notified on the screen if they are needed by displaying the numbering. Other changes for the ministry include the elimination of the Sunday evening Hand's-On and starting a new program call KidK'nex. Kelly Lawson and Lisa Snyder will be heading up the new program. On Wednesday evenings, Bro. Mitch will lead our new Bible Blitz program. On Sunday mornings we will be changing our children's Sunday School program to "Kidz Time" to be taught by Joyce Blackwelder.
Our Student Ministry will also see some changes. We will be eliminating the singles ministry and starting a new "college and career" ministry for graduates through age 24. This ministry will meet in the Student Center downstairs in room 1-A on Sunday mornings. Bro. Shane will lead the ministry with a dynamic Bible study each Sunday. Our middle and high school ministry will be combined and will be taught by Carmen Reagan. Other changes include eliminating the Sunday evening "Elevate" and changing to a new program that would allow students to interact through drama and plays. This program will be entitles "ConneXions - Echo Loud" and is designed for all ages involved in our student ministry. Vertical Students is a dynamic Praise & Worship program for students that will continue to meet on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. For more information, please click here to read the Children's and Student Ministry Changes letter.
