Blue Springs Baptist Church was one of the earliest churches in the southern part of Bradley County. It was organized in 1839. The church became a cooperative Baptist Church in 1859. The land for the church was donated by John Bean. The Missionary Baptist Association met at Blue Springs Baptist Church in 1859 and was called the Ocoee Baptist Association. Charter members of the church were John bean, M. Howell, G.W. Langston, A. Potts and H. Smith. |
